The Jerusalem Culinary Institute was founded in 2003 to
provide the specially trained personnel required by the kosher food
industry which has experienced unprecedented growth all over the world.
JCI is the first and only Mehadrin culinary institute of its kind.
The JCI is Kosher Mehadrin, Agudath Israel, under the supervision of
Rabbi Binyomin Adler.
The core program of the JCI is the Professional Program which provides
a combined course in Culinary, Patisserie and Bread Making. It is
taught in a practical setting with a “hands on” approach. The
Professional Program is a fast-paced intensive program where students
learn theory and then put the theory to use in the kitchen. The concept
of the combined program provides students with a full range of skills
that will make them more marketable in the kosher food industry.
Graduating with diploma in hand, students can gain employment in such
positions as cooks, caterers, small business proprietors or a host of
other industry related positions.
